Good day over all. We went to the retirement party of the service dog of the woman who came to our house last week.Dog came over and I petted her a lot. That was lovely and relaxing. Special K tried to get her to "do tricks" aka her service commands with varying degrees of success ( Read more... )

At my interview at Canine Companions for Independence I gave commands to a dog named Proper.   She was indeed proper and obeyed my commands.  And she was proper for someone because she graduated as a "Skilled Companion" (a service dog for a kid). CCI just had a Team Training and graduation last weekend.

On a happy note we're one step closer to our dream of getting a dog. We've applied to Canine Companions for Independence (CCI) for a service dog. Yesterday I had a phone interview.
Note: as of 2/23/08 CCI is working on making everything on computer.

( Their process is long and ironically very difficult for someone who has trouble writing but can type. )
